At Richmond Surgical Arts, we want to help you kick off 2019 by looking and feeling better than ever before. We offer a wide range of surgical and non-surgical treatments that help our patients address a variety of concerns and make this year the best year of their lives.

1. Hair Transplant
Are you tired of wearing hats or wigs to cover up your balding head? Make a fresh start with our state-of-the-art NeoGraft hair restoration surgery. NeoGraft is a minimally invasive hair transplant technique that requires no scalpels and results in a naturally growing head of hair with virtually undetectable scarring. After the transplanted hair takes root and begins growing, you will be able to cut, color and style your new hair in whatever way suits you.

2. Breast Augmentation
Women who are self-conscious about having underdeveloped or asymmetrical breasts can get a more feminine silhouette with breast enlargement surgery. This enduringly popular procedure has helped millions of women get the fuller bustline they’ve always wanted with silicone or saline implants. Dr. Gregory Lynam offers a minimally invasive approach to breast augmentation that involves placing the incisions in the armpits, so there is no scarring on the breasts.

3. Breast Reduction
Dr. Lynam can also use his skill as one of Richmond’s top cosmetic surgeons to reduce the size of breasts that are overly large and result in discomfort or embarrassment. This option can also help men who have a condition known as gynecomastia, which causes them to develop unwanted breast tissue due to factors such as genetics, aging, hormonal imbalance and weight gain. Though gynecomastia is not usually an issue of medical concern, it adversely affects men’s self-esteem, which is why the popularity of this surgical procedure is on the rise.

4. Mommy Makeover
Richmond Surgical Arts is proud to be Richmond’s mommy makeover specialist. “Mommy makeover” is an umbrella term that applies to a combination of procedures that can help women regain their figure after having one or more children. Though Dr. Lynam can tailor his approach to meet your needs and goals, the most popular techniques involved in mommy makeovers include a tummy tuck, liposuction, labiaplasty and breast augmentation and/or lift. Mommy makeovers are increasingly sought-after among women who are finished having children and want to reclaim the sexy, self-confident feeling they had before motherhood changed their bodies.

5. Liposuction
For many people, diet and exercise alone are not enough to attain the toned physique they are hoping for. Some pockets of body fat are genetically programmed to stay in place, and spot reduction is a proven myth. Liposuction surgery is one of the most effective ways to reshape your body and help banish the bulge for good by suctioning out liquefied fat through small incisions. Though it’s not a weight-loss procedure, it can be highly effective for people who are already within their target weight and have one or more areas they would like to contour.

6. CoolSculpting
You have probably heard the buzz about CoolSculpting and wondered what it was all about. CoolSculpting is a relatively recent innovation in the world of aesthetic medicine. It’s revolutionary because it allows us to use controlled cooling to target and kill fat cells in specific areas of the body, with no surgery or downtime. Exposing fat cells to extreme cold causes them to die, after which your body will flush them out gradually. CoolSculpting is ideal for patients with busy lifestyles who want to address exercise-resistant body fat without having to worry about taking time out from work and other daily activities. It is FDA-approved for use on multiple areas of the body, including the back, chin/neck, legs, belly and upper arms.

7. Facelift/Neck Lift
The aging process gradually leads to the loss of collagen and elastin – two proteins that support supple, healthy and youthful skin. As skin loses these two building blocks, it begins to sag and droop, and wrinkles form. If you are concerned about your aging face, facelift surgery may be your best option. In performing this surgery, Dr. Lynam can reverse the signs of aging and refresh your facial contours by removing excess skin, repositioning tissue and lifting the underlying muscles for a younger, healthier appearance. A facelift can also significantly improve the look of jowls or a “turkey neck” that occurs as a result of sagging skin. Depending on your degree of aging and what you are hoping to address, Dr. Lynam offers several facelift options and may recommend additional complementary procedures to provide even better results.

8. Kybella
A double chin, also known as submental fat, can be one of the most frustrating problems to have because it often makes you look older or heavier than you truly are. Double chins are often hereditary, so you could have one even if you are not overweight. Kybella is a prescription medication specifically for reducing submental fat deposits. Kybella is a synthetic form of deoxycholic acid, which your body’s digestive tract produces naturally to help break down the dietary fat you consume. When introduced into the submental fat layer beneath your chin, the acid goes to work killing fat cells through a process called lysis. In the weeks that follow, your lymphatic, immune and circulatory systems will naturally and permanently break down and dispose of the cellular waste – all with no need for incisions, stitches or recovery downtime.

9. Dermal Fillers
Injectable fillers have skyrocketed in popularity in recent years because they create virtually instant results with no need for downtime. Whether you are looking for plumper lips or fuller cheeks, or want to erase the lines around your mouth, fillers can give you the customized look you desire without the need for surgery. Fillers are ideal for anyone who wants to appear younger, but does not want to commit to the price tag or recovery time associated with procedures such as a facelift. Though dermal injectables are not permanent, the results are still long-lasting.

10. Eyelid Lift
Are you tired of looking tired? Undereye bags and sagging eyelid skin can send the message that you are constantly fatigued, sad or angry. An eyelid lift is a straightforward procedure that can dramatically improve the look of the upper eyelids, lower eyelids or both by removing excess skin, tightening droopy eyelids and repositioning muscle and fat for a more naturally rejuvenated appearance.
