WHAT IS A JESSNER PEEL?
The Jessner Peel is a superficial peel comprised of several active ingredients, each of which has peeling activity. The Jessner Peel is a combination of resorcinol, salicylic acid and lactic acid,
to which ethanol is added. Each of the reactive ingredients is roughly 14% of the concentration of the solution. However, by adding three different peeling agents, all of which act in a slightly
different manner, the result of the peel is not only very predictable, but also effective. This solution is an impressive superficial peeling agent. It provides significant exfoliation with minimal
complications.
WHO SHOULD HAVE A JESSNER PEEL?
A Jessner Peel can improve upon such skin problems as brown discoloration, blemishes, acne, fine wrinkles, sun damage and weathered skin. Unlike some chemical peels, the Jessner Peel penetrates
more deeply into the epidermal layers of the skin, which will result in heavy exfoliation, peeling and flaking of the outer layers of skin

The Jessner Peel improves the overall appearance of your skin by removing the damaged outer layer, and, as a result, facial blemishes, wrinkles, acne scarring and uneven skin pigmentation are virtually
eliminated.
HOW MANY TREATMENTS WILL I NEED?
This varies depending on the severity of the skin condition you want to improve. A single treatment can give you that polished look. A series of peels may be suggested for more severe skin issues.
WHAT HAPPENS DURING THE JESSNER PEEL?
Your skin will be cleaned with a glycolic cleanser fully removing the oils and dead layer so that your Jessner’s solution will penetrate properly. Then the Jessner’s solution will be applied to
your face. Your face will then burn slightly (this uncomfortable sensation can be relieved by a fan blowing cool air on your treatment area). You may have several layers applied. You may develop
a whitened look, known as “frosting” that will dissipate within a few hours.
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER A JESSNER PEEL?
Your skin will peel, flake, turn pink or brown for about 7 days following your treatment. After you heal, nice smooth skin will be revealed
